The firm I work for has its office in a reconverted house built in 1910. I have a window in one of the bedrooms (my office) that overlooks the snow brushed mountains behind the house.
The view is absolutely wonderful. It's a great thing to be able to take a brief moment away from tax work to feel the fresh air as spring is returning to North Idaho. It's times like these that remind me how good God really is. He takes the time to care about my life even with everything going on in the world. Though the winters of life strike us hard (just like the worst winter we've had here in decades), He always seems to bring spring again.
So take heart. It's not over. The wind is blowing and the snow won't stop. The world looks like it's being whited out. God loves you. He doesn't always give you what you want, but He always knows what you need. Surrender to His will. Place your life willingly in His hands. You might as well...at least you'll have refuge from the cold.
Spring will come again.
By the way, the picture is from my 2003 summer trip to Germany, not outside my office window. I needed something for an illustration....
